Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s son Moses followed in his famous dad’s footsteps on Wednesday night as he played his first London gig in the same corner of London where Coldplay launched their career.
The singer and model, 20, took to the stage with his rising rock band People I’ve Met at The Hawley Arms in Camden, performing to a tightly-packed crowd inside the legendary music pub.
Moses, who fronts the three-piece band, sat on a stool with an acoustic guitar as he sang, with bandmate Orlando Wiltshire on drums behind him.
‘London feels a lot more musical than a lot of other cities in some ways,’ Moses told Rolling Stone magazine. ‘And England in general is really receptive to new music and there is a culture of giving bands a chance and I think is really special.’
Fans shared videos of the gig on social media showing Moses performing just feet away from the audience at the free-entry gig in Camden – where his father cut his teeth as a musician almost three decades earlier.

Coldplay played their first concert in the same North London borough in 1998, when Chris, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion were still performing under their original name Starfish.
The area has another poignant connection for Moses, who spent much of his early childhood living nearby.
Hollywood star Gwyneth, 53, and Chris, 49, bought a large home in nearby Belsize Park shortly after marrying in 2003, eventually combining adjoining properties to create a sprawling 33-room family house.
They raised their daughter Apple, now 22, and Moses there during their marriage, before announcing their famous “conscious uncoupling” in 2014 after more than a decade together. Their divorce was finalised in 2016.
In his interview with Rolling Stone this week, Moses also admitted that he benefits from having a famous dad in the music industry.
‘It’s definitely something to be reckoned with,’ he said. ‘I think the ultimate thing is that I’m very grateful to be in the position I’m in and I have a musical DNA through my parents.

‘My parents are incredible and I’m very grateful to be in the position I’m in. But what I’m trying to say is that yes, we acknowledge it and we’re grateful for it, but we’re doing something that is special and unique to us, and that we really care about.’
He continued: ‘And so ultimately, whatever gets people to listen to the music really, like wherever they come from, we welcome any fan. We really just love it and I particularly am grateful also to have parents who are supportive of this because they know what it’s like.’
He added that he uses his dad as a sounding board for his songs: ‘I really trust his opinion. But it’s the same with my Mum too, she has great taste.’
Moses’s choice of venue for his Camden homecoming this week is steeped in rock ‘n’ roll history.
The Hawley Arms became the unofficial headquarters of the area’s riotous mid-Noughties music scene and is most famously associated with Amy Winehouse, who was a regular at the pub and also performed there.

It was also a haunt for some of Britain’s biggest musicians, with Pete Doherty, Liam Gallagher, Arctic Monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs among the famous faces associated with the venue, while Razorlight once famously played on its roof.
Moses, who the Daily Mail revealed recently is dating fellow Brown University student Campbell Fealy, 21, is carving out a music career of his own with People I’ve Met, alongside drummer Orlando and bassist Andrew Suster.
The three musicians met at high school in Los Angeles and began making music together before moving to the East Coast for college in 2024, splitting their time between Providence and New York and concentrating on recording and playing live.
They later supported Australian indie duo Royel Otis on tour and released their debut single, Promise, through Interscope Records in December last year.
Their five-track debut EP Bunny followed in May and features Promise, For Hire, Loving One, Bastards and I Want It I Want It.
The gig comes just days before Moses makes another major step in his music career when his band performs at Reading Festival on Friday, followed by Leeds on Saturday.
They will appear on The Canopy stage as part of an unusually starry crop of nepo babies at this year’s festivals.
Liam Gallagher’s 25-year-old son Gene will perform with his band Villanelle, while Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl’s daughter Violet, 20, and David and Victoria Beckham’s youngest son Cruz, 21, will also take to the stage with their respective acts.
Last month Moses made his modelling debut as one of the faces of Burberry’s Escape to the Countryside campaign alongside models Edie Campbell, Nora Attal and Sang Woo Kim.
