Resale tickets for Jay-Z’s concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles fell by 67% in the three days before Friday night’s show, with the cheapest available seats dropping to $20 including fees, data shows.
TicketData recorded an average resale price of about $61 on Tuesday. By Friday, the get-in price had fallen to $20.
The figure was down 76% over the previous 30 days and 93% below the all-time high get-in price of $284.
Resale tickets commonly become cheaper as a concert approaches, as sellers reduce prices to avoid being left with unused seats.
There were mixed indications of attendance before the performance. One user on X posted a photograph showing a thinner crowd at the stadium at about 9.20pm, while another shared several videos appearing to show the venue packed.
Jay-Z has also reportedly chosen himself to headline next year’s Super Bowl, having been described as being in charge of deciding the event’s headliner.
