Keegan Allen has revealed stitches to his forehead after an alleged armed robbery in which two masked men reportedly stole his watch and attacked him with a handgun.
The Pretty Little Liars actor shared an image on Instagram showing what appeared to be cuts that had been stitched. In the accompanying caption, he wrote: “Healing” and thanked the medical team, law enforcement and those who had contacted him.
Allen was reportedly loading groceries into his vehicle at about 9pm when the men, dressed in black, approached him. One allegedly pointed a handgun at him while the other carried a knife and demanded his watch and bracelet.
Surveillance footage appears to show the pair confronting Allen before one suspect repeatedly struck him on the head with the gun. The men then fled with his watch.
In footage recorded shortly after the incident, blood can be seen running down Allen’s face and onto his clothes as he tried to describe what had happened. He said the suspects had threatened to kill him over the watch, adding: “My life for a watch.”
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Allen suffered a laceration to his forehead and was treated by paramedics at the scene. He was not taken to hospital by ambulance, although he later said he had gone to hospital and believed he had suffered a concussion.
Allen also criticised safety in the area, saying that West Hollywood was no longer safe.
