Killer Mike has predicted that the Atlanta Braves will beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Division Series, ending the Dodgers’ hopes of winning a third consecutive World Series.
The rapper gave his verdict at LAX this week, with the closely fought series level at one game apiece. The Dodgers won the opening game 5-3 on Saturday before Atlanta responded with a 3-2 victory on Sunday.
“Ain’t no upset!” Killer Mike said. “We gave y’all Freeman back. He fired his agent, as he should’ve, cause $140 million goes longer in Atlanta. But the Braves, man, go Bravo!”
Game three is scheduled for Tuesday evening, when one side will move to within a single win of advancing.
Killer Mike is firmly backing the Braves to take that advantage.
“That’s what you wanna see. Upset. Atlanta, baby, we’re where you wanna be. I got faith in the Braves, absolutely,” he said.
Asked about the Dodgers’ star-studded line-up, including Shohei Ohtani, Tarik Skubal, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, he remained confident.
“We’re gonna do it. We’re gonna do it. Word to Acuna Jr., we’re gonna do it.”
The Dodgers are slight favourites at around -145 to win the series and also have the strongest odds to claim the World Series. Killer Mike, however, insists the Braves will prevail.
