Liverpool are considering a January move for Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara, with the Senegal international understood to be among the players being monitored by the Premier League club.
David Lynch, speaking on Anfield Index, said Liverpool are assessing the 22-year-old as Andoni Iraola looks to strengthen his midfield options for the second half of the season.

Camara has emerged as an appealing target because of his combination of defensive work, energy and ability to contribute in possession. His physical presence could also suit the demands of a high-intensity system.
Liverpool allowed Curtis Jones to leave during the summer and, despite having several central midfield options, the club may decide that further reinforcement is required as the campaign progresses.
The Reds have already been in contact with Camara’s representatives and are believed to be keeping a close watch on his position at Monaco.
The midfielder was reportedly close to joining Chelsea during the summer, but the move collapsed despite the Premier League club making a substantial offer.
Monaco set €70 million valuation
Monaco are understood to value Camara at about €70 million, which would require Liverpool to make a significant investment if they decide to pursue the Senegal international.
A January transfer has not been ruled out, while Camara is said to remain keen to test himself in the Premier League. Liverpool are also considering alternative targets, but the Monaco midfielder is thought to feature prominently on their shortlist.
It remains unclear whether Liverpool will make a formal approach when the transfer window opens, but Camara is expected to be a player worth monitoring in the coming months.
