Matt Rife has responded to Lisa Ann’s accusation that he continues to show footage of her being led away in handcuffs before his comedy performances.
The dispute centres on an incident at Radio City Music Hall in New York in February 2024, when the former adult film star was removed by police following a disagreement over whether she had been using her phone during the show.
Lisa Ann challenges Matt Rife over comedy show footage
Lisa Ann raised the matter during a recent appearance on the Veteran’s Minimum podcast, claiming the clip had been played before Rife’s performances over the past year.
“He proudly uses that as his open in every single show that he does…I get texts three to four times a week,” she alleged.
She said she remained frustrated by the incident and told Rife that “he should get a new act”. Lisa Ann also claimed she had been banned from venues owned by James Dolan, including the Sphere in Las Vegas, because of facial recognition technology.
Rife, 31, responded sarcastically on social media, writing: “Yes, babe, that’s it,” before joking that he had been too nervous to perform in front of Lisa Ann and had arranged for her to be arrested.
He also maintained that she had been removed because she broke the venue’s rules.
What happened at Radio City Music Hall
Lisa Ann, 54, was escorted from the venue in handcuffs on February 4, 2024. She said at the time that she had not been using her phone and did not understand why she was being removed.
A source connected to the venue previously alleged that she had become disruptive after being asked to stop using her phone. Police said officers had responded to a report of a disorderly person who had been told not to record inside the venue.
Lisa Ann was reportedly detained for about 45 minutes before being released without charges or a citation. She has continued to dispute the explanation for her removal.
Responding to a report about the renewed dispute, Rife wrote: “Years of work and somehow the truth is what she can’t swallow.”
