Meghan Markle has opened orders for As Ever’s first holiday collection, including $200 wicker hampers and a luxury advent calendar, alongside a video celebrating the development of her lifestyle brand.
The Duchess of Sussex, 45, used the Instagram film to reflect on her early entrepreneurial ambitions, recalling how she sold lemonade, homemade scrunchies and Girl Scout biscuits as a child.
The montage also revisited The Tig, the lifestyle blog she founded in 2014, and included tributes to her mother, Doria Ragland, as well as glimpses of Meghan’s family life in Montecito.
Meghan Markle’s As Ever launch includes glimpse of Lilibet
One brief sequence shows Meghan apparently preparing jam while her five-year-old daughter, Lilibet, stirs a pot of what appears to be orange jelly.
Meghan asks: “What do you think Lili?” Her daughter replies: “I think it’s beautiful.”
However, the footage appears to show no flame beneath the pot Meghan is stirring, creating an apparent cooking mystery during the promotion for As Ever’s latest products.
Lilibet also appears in a white beekeeper’s suit and mesh hat in the garden of the family’s £11 million Montecito home. Meghan is seen examining one of her hives before asking: “Do you see Lili?”
The family’s beekeeper, Branden Aroyan, has previously described the hobby as a shared interest, saying: “Harry loves it, and Archie and Lilibet are into it too. It’s a whole family affair. They all have their own beekeeper suits. They’re just all super-fascinated by it.”
The video includes a glimpse of Prince Harry casually dressed in shorts and a T-shirt as he looks at one of the new festive hampers. Meghan is seated nearby in black trousers and a matching top, with pale pink walls and a large French window visible in the background.
Another image shows Harry and Meghan laughing on the floor while one of their children rests a hand on the Duchess’s face. The black-and-white photograph is displayed in a white frame and appears beside As Ever candles named after the children’s birthdays.
Signature Candle No. 506 refers to Prince Archie’s birth date, May 6, while Signature Candle No. 604 is linked to Princess Lilibet’s June 4 birthday.
A return to The Tig and With Love, Meghan
Meghan’s caption thanked former readers of The Tig, whom she called “The Tiglets”, and credited “a community of love, a squad of support, an amazing team” for helping As Ever progress.
She also repeated the blog’s earlier message: “Behind every successful woman is herself.” The Tig closed in April 2017 after almost three years, having featured Meghan’s views on travel, food, fashion, beauty, philanthropy and dining.
The montage included an old clip of Meghan eating raspberries, as well as childhood photographs with her mother. One image showed Doria, who was a Girl Scout troop leader, with a young Meghan among members of her group.
Meghan also included a still from the second series of her Netflix lifestyle programme, With Love, Meghan, showing her opening a bottle of champagne while appearing alongside cookbook author Samin Nosrat.
The post featured an excerpt from one of American poet Elizabeth Knapp’s “Did I Tell You” books, held in place by an As Ever leather bookmark bearing the words: “It only gets better.”
