Dale Smith Jr, Michelle Parker’s former fiancé, has been arrested 15 years after her disappearance in Florida, in a case that began with a televised dispute over an engagement ring.
The arrest has brought renewed attention to one of the state’s most haunting missing persons cases. Parker’s family members are continuing to seek answers after years of uncertainty.
CBS News correspondents Shanelle Kaul and Cristian Benavides are examining the development and speaking to relatives who have never stopped pressing for information about what happened to Parker.
The case centres on Parker’s disappearance and the relationship between her and Smith, whose arrest came a decade and a half after she went missing.
