A motorcyclist was critically injured after a crash on Interstate 75 near Detroit’s Davison Freeway, with Michigan State Police saying the rider had been travelling at speed.
The collision happened at about 8.30pm on Sunday, April 4, 2021, on the northbound lanes of I-75, according to authorities.
Police said a group of motorcyclists had been speeding when one rider struck the rear of another vehicle. The impact threw the motorcyclist from the bike, sending him about 20 feet.
The motorcycle was then hit by a second vehicle, investigators said. All of the vehicles involved remained at the scene.
The injured rider was taken to a local hospital in a critical condition. Michigan State Police said no other injuries had been reported.
