Naresh Bhatt has taken the stand in the trial over the disappearance of Mamta Kafle Bhatt, with testimony and evidence including digital clues, surveillance footage and a saw investigators believe may be linked to the case.
The evidence was examined by 48 Hours correspondent Natalie Morales and CBS News correspondent Shanelle Kaul, who discussed Bhatt’s account and the material presented to jurors.
The case has also included allegations of domestic abuse. Those claims form part of the wider evidence being considered alongside the digital records and footage gathered during the investigation.
Investigators have pointed to the saw as potential physical evidence connected to Mamta Kafle Bhatt’s disappearance. Its significance remains an issue for the trial as jurors assess the testimony and other material before them.
