One person has been taken to a trauma hospital after being rescued from a burning mobile home in Citrus County, Florida.
Citrus County Fire Rescue and the Inverness Fire Department were called to North East Avenue, outside Inverness city limits, at about 9.19am on Saturday, September 26.
Firefighters found the single-wide mobile home about 75 per cent engulfed in flames. A nearby vehicle was also badly damaged, with fire affecting roughly half of it.
Crews searching the property discovered one person inside the home and handed them over to medical teams at the scene before they were taken to hospital. Fire officials said no other occupants were found.
Mobile home and vehicle suffer heavy damage
The mobile home and vehicle sustained extensive fire damage, while a camper parked close to the residence suffered minor exterior damage from radiant heat.
Firefighters remained at the scene to tackle hot spots after the main blaze had been extinguished.
The identity and condition of the rescued person have not been released. Investigators have not yet established how the fire started, and the cause remains under investigation.
