An adult man has died after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run collision on Allentown Road in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
Police were called to the 6300 block of the road at about 12.30am after reports that a pedestrian had been hit. Officers found the man lying in the carriageway and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle involved had left before police arrived. Investigators from the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit are working to establish the circumstances of the crash and identify the driver.
