Renée Zellweger has been dismissed from a $10 million lawsuit brought by a woman who alleges she was injured at a rental property connected to the actress’s boyfriend, Ant Anstead.
Court documents show that Tracey Belland dropped the Oscar-winning actress as a defendant. The claim against Zellweger was dismissed with prejudice, meaning it cannot be filed again.
Belland’s lawsuit concerns an alleged incident in 2024 at a home Anstead was renting in Laguna Beach, California. She claims she stumbled and injured her knee after stepping on a thin rug covering a hole.
Zellweger was not on the lease and had her own nearby property, according to information previously provided about the case. The documents do not indicate that she was legally responsible for the rental.
Anstead has denied being legally responsible for Belland’s alleged injuries. The case against him is continuing.
