A man has died after being pulled unconscious from the water at Number One Beach in Seal Rocks on the New South Wales Mid North Coast.
Members of the public removed the surfer from the sea at about 2.20pm on Monday after he became unresponsive. Paramedics attended following a concern for welfare call, but he could not be revived.
NSW Police said the man was believed to be in his 60s and had not yet been formally identified.
The circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated, with a report to be prepared for the coroner.
