Aston Villa and Tottenham are monitoring Lyon playmaker Pavel Sulc ahead of a possible move during the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old Czech international has attracted interest after contributing to 24 goals in 45 appearances since joining Lyon from Viktoria Plzen in the summer of 2025.
Both Premier League clubs are understood to value Sulc’s versatility. He can operate as a number 10 or from either flank, offering an attacking option capable of fitting into different tactical systems.

Tottenham have reportedly followed Sulc since his time at Viktoria Plzen and remain interested despite strengthening their attacking options during the summer.
Aston Villa, meanwhile, are said to view him as an improvement on their existing choices in the number 10 position. His ability to play wide could also provide manager Unai Emery with greater flexibility.
Lyon are prepared to consider offers but are under no pressure to sell, with Sulc’s contract running until 2029. The French club are seeking at least €50 million to negotiate a transfer, despite the player being valued at around €20 million.
Any deal would also be expected to include substantial performance-related add-ons and a sell-on clause. Sulc’s representatives are understood to favour remaining at Lyon to ensure he continues to receive regular playing time, although the club will listen if its demands are met.
