Strictly Come Dancing viewers spotted professional dancer Katya Jones appearing to mouth “fit” after Emmerdale actor Lawrence Robb’s first live performance on Saturday night.
The 37-year-old was shown on the balcony as Robb, 34, completed his Paso Doble to Aperture by Harry Styles with professional partner Jowita Przystał.
Jones then appeared to turn to new professional dancer Aleksandra Isaeva and mouth the single word. The moment prompted a flurry of reaction from viewers on X, with one asking: “Did Katya call Lawrence fit???”
Others posted: “‘He’s fit’?”, “Haha Katya mouthing ‘fit’ after Lawrence’s dance” and “Strictly did Katya just mouth ‘fit’?” One viewer joked that Jones was “looking for another Strictly dalliance”.
Robb, who plays Mackenzie Boyd in the ITV soap, received 20 points from the judges. Craig Revel Horwood awarded him four, while Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas gave him five apiece and Anton Du Beke scored the performance six.
The actor is in a relationship with West End performer Pamela Blair. The couple made their relationship public at the BAFTA Scotland Awards in 2024.
Elsewhere in Strictly Come Dancing’s opening live show, YouTuber John Nellis surprised viewers by topping the leaderboard with 31 points for his Foxtrot to Ordinary by Alex Warren.
Nellis, who was partnered with Jones, is now the bookmakers’ favourite to win the series, with Coral offering odds of 9/4.
No contestant will leave the programme this week. Scores from the opening show will be combined with those from next week before the first elimination on Sunday.
