The Alan Jones trial heard further evidence about flowers the former broadcaster allegedly arranged to have delivered weekly to “M” over several years.
Defence barrister Gabrielle Bashir, SC, revisited the evidence “M” gave the previous day, asking about the source of the flowers and the arrangements for their delivery.
“M” agreed the flowers came from markets rather than a florist. When Ms Bashir asked whether he understood they were a drop-off order from the markets, he said his understanding was that Jones’s driver collected them and delivered them to him.
“M” described the gesture as “lovely”. Asked whether he viewed it as consistent with the way Jones had shown generosity towards him, he replied: “It’s fair to say that at times he was generous.”
