Arsenal are tracking Sevilla midfielder Lucien Agoumé after reportedly sending scouts to watch the France Under-21 international in action.
Representatives from Arsenal and Fulham were understood to have attended Sevilla’s 1-1 draw at Espanyol on 6 September, with Agoumé among the players under assessment, according to Spanish outlet Ficherio.
The 24-year-old started the match and has played every minute of Sevilla’s opening four La Liga fixtures this season. He joined the club permanently from Inter Milan in August 2024 and is under contract until June 2028.

Agoumé operates in a holding midfield role and has previously attracted interest from clubs in London. Arsenal’s latest scouting activity suggests the Premier League champions are continuing to monitor his development, although there is no indication yet that a formal offer has been made.
Mikel Arteta’s squad already contains considerable depth in central midfield, which could make regular first-team football difficult for Agoumé should Arsenal decide to pursue the transfer.
The midfielder is established at Sevilla and may therefore be reluctant to move unless he is convinced that he would have a significant role in north London. His existing contract also gives the Spanish club a strong negotiating position.
Fulham’s interest could provide competition for Arsenal if the London rivals decide to make their interest concrete. Sevilla are thought to be open to offers, but the next step will depend on whether either club moves beyond scouting and begins formal discussions.
Arsenal are expected to review their options ahead of the January transfer window, with further midfield reinforcements under consideration alongside potential additions in attack.
