Brentford fans chanted at Jordan Henderson during their side’s 3-0 victory over Chelsea at the Gtech Community Stadium, turning the midfielder’s return to west London into a difficult evening.
Henderson left Brentford for Chelsea on a free transfer during the summer after spending one season with the Bees. Having recovered from a wrist injury suffered on international duty, he was handed his debut and started against his former club.

The home supporters began taunting Henderson as Brentford took control after a goalless first half. Their chant of “Jordan, what’s the score? Jordan, Jordan, what’s the score?” echoed around the stadium during a dominant second-half display.
Keith Andrews’ side overwhelmed Chelsea in midfield and opened the scoring through Jaidon Anthony. Igor Thiago then added a second before Fabio Carvalho completed the victory with a stoppage-time finish.
The result extended Brentford’s unbeaten start to the domestic campaign and lifted them to third in the Premier League standings.
For Chelsea, the defeat leaves Xabi Alonso’s side without a league win in three consecutive fixtures and increases the pressure for a response after a damaging night against Henderson’s former club.
