Milwaukee weather will turn cloudy, cool and windy on Monday, September 21, with east winds gusting up to 25mph and a chance of drizzle as temperatures reach about 61F.
The unsettled conditions will also create dangerous swimming conditions along Lake Michigan, where strong onshore winds are expected to continue through Wednesday. The National Weather Service has warned of life-threatening waves of 5ft to 8ft and dangerous currents across beaches from Sheboygan to Kenosha counties.
Beachgoers have been advised to stay out of the water and away from piers, breakwaters and other exposed areas. Strong structural and longshore currents, as well as rip currents, are possible.

Monday night will remain mostly cloudy, cool and breezy, with temperatures falling to around 51F. Winds will ease slightly but remain from the east at between 5mph and 15mph.
Cloud cover is expected to decrease on Tuesday, September 22, when autumn officially begins. The day will be breezy, cool and dry, with a high of around 61F and easterly winds of 10mph to 20mph.
Partly cloudy conditions are forecast from Wednesday, with a high of 63F and a morning low near 50F. The National Weather Service expects dry weather and below-average temperatures to dominate much of the week.
More sunshine should return from Wednesday through the weekend. Highs are forecast to reach 64F on Thursday, 65F on Friday and 66F on Saturday, while overnight temperatures remain in the low 50s.
Easterly winds will gradually weaken later in the week, but the beach hazards statement for Lake Michigan remains in place through Wednesday evening.
