CVS has agreed to a proposed $20.5 million class-action settlement over allegations that data from its websites and mobile app was shared with Criteo and other third parties, potentially entitling some US customers to a cash payment.

Who qualifies for the CVS privacy settlement?
People who accessed CVS.com, CVSHealth.com or the CVS mobile app in the United States before July 27, 2026, may be eligible to claim money under the agreement.
The lawsuit alleges that health-related, personal and browsing information, as well as other identifiers, was disclosed through tracking technology embedded in CVS’s digital properties. The allegations have not been proven in court.
Those eligible can claim up to $5 without supporting documents. A payment of up to $10 may be available to people who provide evidence showing they accessed a CVS digital property before the cut-off date, such as browser history, dated screenshots or email receipts for online purchases. The final amount may be lower because the available money will be divided among valid claims and may be reduced proportionally if large numbers of people apply.
How to claim money from the settlement
A completed claim form must be submitted online through the official CVS Digital Privacy Settlement website by November 16, 2026. Claim forms can also be sent by post to the settlement administrator.
Anyone who wants to retain the right to bring a separate claim against CVS must opt out by November 1, 2026. The same deadline applies to written objections to the settlement terms.
The court is due to hold a final approval hearing on December 1, 2026. Payments will only be distributed if the settlement receives final approval and any appeals have been resolved.
