Two people are fighting for their lives after a two-car crash sparked a fire in Rochedale, Logan, Queensland.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Rochedale and Preistdale Roads at about 10.30pm on Saturday following reports of the collision.
A man in his 60s was trapped in one of the vehicles and treated by paramedics before being taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
A woman in her 60s also suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. A man in his 20s was treated at the scene before being taken to Logan Hospital in a stable condition.
Footage from the scene showed a ute that had caught fire and been left charred at the intersection. A hatchback appeared to have left the road and come to rest in nearby bushland.
Police searched the area and collected debris scattered across the intersection.
