Eleven people were shot near a college stadium in Tallahassee, Florida, after a football game, with the suspect or suspects still at large, police said.
Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell said six of those injured were juveniles, including an 11-year-old. Five other victims were adults.
One victim was in a critical condition and three were seriously injured, while the remaining victims were described as stable. A grandmother was also hurt while fleeing the scene, although she was not shot.
The shooting took place near Bragg Memorial Stadium following a match between the Arkansas–Pine Bluff Golden Lions and the Florida A&M Rattlers. Police said at least one of the victims was a Florida A&M student.
Chief Revell said a fight involving two or three people may have triggered the shooting. It was not clear whether the football game itself was also a motivating factor.
Detectives from the Tallahassee Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit are investigating and searching for those responsible.
Arkansas–Pine Bluff won the game 31-28.
