A new Australian study has found that a student’s sense of belonging at school and the quality of their relationships may be more strongly linked to future wellbeing than a range of other school characteristics.
The findings suggest that feeling connected at high school could have significance beyond a teenager’s immediate school experience, with relationships and belonging associated with their longer-term wellbeing.
