Frankie Muniz has reunited with his ex-wife, Paige Price, at their five-year-old son Mauz’s football match, days after describing the past six weeks of his life as a “nightmare” and saying he had reached rock bottom.
The 40-year-old actor and racing driver shared photographs of himself with Price and their son on Saturday, September 19. He wrote: “Post soccer shenanigans with the fam. Our little dude got a medal for excellence in sportsmanship!”
The family gathering came after Muniz posted about a difficult period in his life the previous day.
“Everything felt heavy, unclear, and like it was falling apart at the same time. I wouldn’t wish this season on anyone,” he said. “I read that sometimes hitting rock bottom is the thing that wakes you up. It forces the changes you needed to make all along so you can live the best life possible.”
Muniz added that he believed he would eventually look back on the experience differently, writing: “In five years I believe I’ll look back at this exact low point and feel grateful for it, because the high I’ll be standing on then only exists because I went through this.”
Muniz and Price said in July that they were ending their romantic relationship after 10 years together and six years of marriage. At the time, Muniz said they had come to view their relationship as strongest as “a deep friendship and as co-parents”.
He said their son remained “the center of our world” and described Price as his biggest supporter, adding that their “foundation of respect and friendship isn’t going anywhere”. The pair also said they would continue to build Muniz Racing and co-parent their son together.
Muniz previously shared a video of himself, Price and Mauz dancing, alongside the caption: “Who says you can’t stay best friends with your baby momma?” The post was later removed, while Price shared a comment defending her former husband.
