Offset has acknowledged that his recent casino drama has made him hesitant to return to gambling venues, but indicated he does not intend to stop gambling altogether.
The rapper discussed the issue at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday while promoting a new music video with Don Toliver. The pair filmed inside a casino for “Every Night”, a collaboration from Offset’s upcoming album, GMFU.
Offset described the video as a case of art imitating life, saying his life is a “movie” and that a casino setting therefore made sense for the project.
His comments come after a series of incidents connected with casinos. In October, he clashed with employees at a casino in Paris, while in April he was shot near a casino in Florida.
He is also working to resolve a $100,000 debt to a casino in Detroit. Asked whether the incidents had made him reluctant to visit casinos, Offset agreed that they had, although his response suggested the setbacks would not end his gambling.
The former Migos member also provided some information about his forthcoming music while speaking about the collaboration with Don Toliver.
