A woman was killed and an infant was critically injured in a Houston shooting after the child’s father arrived at an apartment to deliver nappies, police said.
The gunman opened fire during an argument with the baby’s 19-year-old mother at the property in the 7700 block of Willow Chase Boulevard, in north-west Houston, at about 7.35pm on Saturday.
Investigators said the man shot the woman’s 40-year-old mother in the back before hitting his own child in the abdomen. The 19-year-old mother was not injured and carried the baby outside the apartment.
