Authorities in Wisconsin are searching for Jontavion Hampton after police say he cut off his GPS monitoring bracelet and fled supervision in June.
The 25-year-old, who is also known as “Jon Jon”, has links to Sheboygan and Milwaukee, according to the Sheboygan Police Department and a US Marshals task force officer.
Detective Ryan Walloch said Hampton had been monitored electronically before removing the device and leaving the area. Investigators believe he has continued to cause problems while evading law enforcement.
“The most current incident, he cut the bracelet off and left it to go on the run,” Walloch said, describing Hampton as having been involved in a “gamut of different things and criminal activity”.

Hampton has a lengthy criminal record dating back to his time as a juvenile. In 2018, he was arrested and charged in three separate cases, including one involving a stolen car and another concerning an incident with a high-school teacher.
Police were particularly concerned about an allegation that he assaulted and robbed a man near the Sheboygan River. Walloch said Hampton punched the man in the face before taking his money.
Hampton was charged with robbery involving the use of force and convicted. He was later placed on GPS monitoring, which remained in place until he allegedly cut off the bracelet in June.
Walloch said the decision appeared deliberate, allowing Hampton to travel without the restrictions imposed by electronic monitoring.
Hampton is described as 6ft 1in tall and weighing about 275lb. Anyone who sees him or knows where he may be should contact the US Marshals tip line on 414-297-3707. Information can be provided anonymously.
Walloch urged Hampton to surrender peacefully, saying: “He should turn himself in and do it peacefully, so he shouldn’t have to look over his shoulder anymore.”
