Golden State Valkyries supporters began arriving early at Chase Center in San Francisco on Saturday, October 31, ahead of the eagerly anticipated WNBA Finals Game 7 against the Atlanta Dream.
The winner-take-all contest was the first Game 7 in WNBA Finals history since the league adopted a best-of-seven format in 2025. Both teams were seeking the first championship in their respective franchise histories.
Fans gathered around the arena before the scheduled 5pm tip-off, with the Valkyries looking to complete their second season with a title on home court.
The atmosphere followed a tense series in which Atlanta had forced a deciding game by beating Golden State 80-69 in Game 6. The Valkyries had led the Finals 3-2 before the Dream levelled the series.
Golden State ultimately secured the championship, defeating Atlanta 68-63 at Chase Center. Gabby Williams scored 30 points as the Valkyries became champions in only their second season.
