Lisa Snowdon has described feeling “stronger mentally and physically” after an emotional women-only wellness retreat in Bali, following the reported end of her long-term relationship with fiancé George Smart.
The 54-year-old presenter travelled to the Indonesian island for a yoga and Pilates break, telling followers she had used the trip to reset as she prepared to return home.
Sharing a series of photographs from the retreat, including bikini pictures with friends, Snowdon said wellness was not about striving for an idealised version of herself.
“Wellness, for me, has never been about perfection. It’s about connection,” she wrote.
She said the experience had included meaningful conversations, exercise, time to slow down and “a little soul searching”, as well as “maybe a good old cry” and a cold beer on the beach.
“A bit of ritual, a bit of real life. That balance feels really good to me,” Snowdon added.
She thanked the retreat organiser, Fiona, for bringing the group together and praised the setting in Bali, along with the Pilates and Bikram yoga sessions.
Concluding her update, Snowdon wrote: “I am feeling stronger mentally and physically and it’s not over yet!”
Her retreat comes amid growing speculation about her relationship with Smart, to whom she became engaged in 2016. Snowdon has not publicly discussed an apparent split, but has been seen without her engagement ring and Smart has not featured on her social media since January.
The couple first dated around two decades ago before reconnecting in 2014. They subsequently embarked on a relationship that lasted more than ten years.
Snowdon spent time with friends and family over the summer, including attending Wimbledon, where followers noticed Smart was absent from photographs. One commenter wrote: “Oh no, no George again.”
Another follower responded to a picture from one of Snowdon’s solo holidays: “Looking stunning. Hope things are ok back home x.”
The presenter has previously said she is entering a new stage of her life at 54, describing it as a period to reassess what she wants and needs.
Speaking to Prima, she said: “I’m 54 now and see this time in my life as a new chapter. It’s important to reframe ageing in a more positive way.”
Snowdon added that it was a powerful time to reconnect with oneself and make significant changes, describing it as “the second spring”.
She has also said she would like to take on another major television presenting role, although she revealed she was not offered the chance to host Strictly Come Dancing.
