Manchester United and Tottenham are monitoring Club Brugge winger Carlos Forbs after the Portuguese attacker made an impressive start to the 2026/27 season.
Forbs, 22, has revived his career in Belgium following difficult spells at Ajax and Wolves. His pace and improved contribution in the final third have brought him back to the attention of Premier League clubs.

Both clubs are understood to be among several sides assessing Forbs ahead of the January transfer window. Roma are also interested, while the winger remains under contract with Club Brugge until 2029.
Forbs has scored three goals and provided eight assists in 12 appearances across all competitions this season. His form has also carried into the Champions League, where he has registered one goal and three assists in three matches.
Club Brugge head coach Ivan Leko praised the winger after he scored and assisted against Lens.
“He’s simply fantastic to have in the squad. He has so much pace, quality on the ball and is dangerous one-on-one,” Leko said.
Forbs’ resurgence is particularly notable given his previous experience in England. During his loan spell at Wolves, he failed to record either a goal or an assist, meaning any move back to the Premier League would represent a significant test of his progress in Belgium.
Manchester United could view Forbs as a source of the direct running and one-on-one ability their attack has lacked, while Tottenham may see him as a fit for Roberto De Zerbi’s aggressive system, in which wide players are expected to take on defenders and create chances.
There is also a potential financial incentive. Club Brugge signed Forbs from Ajax for about €6 million, meaning he could remain a less expensive option than more established Premier League alternatives even if the Belgian club demands a substantial profit.
United and Tottenham have also sent scouts to watch Club Brugge striker Nicolò Tresoldi, underlining the attention being paid to the Belgian side’s attacking players. Forbs’ performances in the coming weeks could determine whether interest develops into a January approach.
