Millie Bobby Brown has welcomed her second child via adoption with her husband, Jake Bongiovi, at the age of 22.
The Stranger Things actress and Bongiovi, the 24-year-old son of rock star Jon Bon Jovi, have not disclosed the child’s name or shared details about the adoption.
The news follows a family holiday in the Dolomites earlier this month, where Brown was filmed carrying their older daughter while Bongiovi wore a baby carrier as they walked through the Italian Alps with alpacas.
The couple adopted their first child, a baby girl, in August 2025. They have kept her identity and face private.
Announcing her arrival at the time, Brown and Bongiovi wrote: “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption.”
They added: “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.
“And then there were three. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”
Millie Bobby Brown’s plans for a family
Brown previously said adoption had been part of her ambitions since childhood. Speaking on Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast in June, she said: “I always, always wanted to adopt.
“It was always part of my childhood dreams. Every time I was at home and I was, you know, five, six years old, my parents were like, ‘You had your baby dolls. They were all adopted.’ I never had any of them myself. And I never pretended I was pregnant.”
She clarified that adoption was not connected to any reluctance to have a biological child, adding: “It’s not because I don’t want that. Hopefully one day that’s in my future.”
Brown said her social work studies had helped her understand adoption and the experience of birth mothers, explaining that she and Bongiovi had taken time to consider “what that story and what that journey looks like” before embarking on it.
The actress has previously spoken about wanting a large family. During an appearance on the Smartless podcast in March 2025, she said she had wanted to become a mother since she was a child and that starting a family was personally important to her.
“I really want a big family,” she said. “I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So, it is definitely in our future, but, for me, I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different [from] adopting.”
Brown and Bongiovi began dating in 2021 and announced their engagement in April 2023. They married in Italy in May 2024.
Brown is best known for playing Eleven in Stranger Things, which concluded its sixth and final season last year.
