Perth mum Angela McAllister has died after suffering a sudden brain aneurysm, leaving her husband Keith and their two young children heartbroken.
Ms McAllister, who had recently celebrated her 40th birthday, died at 3.55pm on Friday, September 25, after complications from the aneurysm. She was surrounded by family.
Her children, eight-year-old Emily and three-year-old Curtis, are among those mourning her unexpected death.
Ms McAllister’s sister-in-law, Belinda Whelan, has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help ease the financial pressure on the family.
“Angela is loved by so many who have asked family how they can contribute to ease the pressure on Keith in an unimaginable time,” Ms Whelan wrote.
She said Ms McAllister loved her friends and family “above all else, her kids”, and thanked those who had offered their support.
Her best friend, Amanda Byers, had been due to go camping with Ms McAllister this week. Instead, she posted a tribute describing the loss as a “huge, horrible absence”.
“I still can’t believe I’m sitting here camping without you, Angela McAllister. You were meant to be here,” Ms Byers wrote.
She recalled how the pair had planned to spend the trip talking, laughing and discussing their children, school and work.
Ms Byers said she had bought fairy lights for her friend’s tent as a surprise, but never had the chance to give them to her.
“You were one of the kindest people I have ever known,” she wrote. “You were my best friend, and I am going to miss you in all the big moments, but I think I’m going to miss you most in the tiny, ordinary ones.”
