Perez Hilton has cut the asking price of his Las Vegas home by $350,000 as he remains in hospital following a self-harm livestream last month.
The six-bedroom property is now being marketed for $3.9 million, down from the $4.25 million asking price set when the celebrity blogger listed it in June, according to TMZ.
The price reduction comes amid reports that Hilton, 48, has been under financial pressure after struggling to secure new television projects and facing substantial medical costs this year.
Hilton moved from Las Vegas to Miami with his three children in June, returning to the city where he was raised. The house, in the exclusive Prado community on Olive Creek Court, was placed on the market shortly before the move.
The approximately 6,600 sq ft property includes six en-suite bedrooms, a detached casita, a multigenerational suite and a resort-style garden with a pool and spa. It also served as a base for Hilton’s media work, including television interviews and documentaries about the legal dispute involving Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
Speaking about the property in July, Hilton said: “It is a beautiful home, and it served me well personally and professionally.” He added that he wanted to concentrate on his health and family after moving back to Miami.
“Miami is where I need to be,” he said, describing the city as a place he was looking forward to rediscovering after three decades away.
The residence is represented by Kathryn Winterton of Las Vegas Sotheby’s International Realty. It was built in the Blue Heron development and has been described in previous property coverage as a custom family home with extensive indoor and outdoor living space. Hilton, whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr, was taken to hospital on August 4 after Miami-Dade deputies received multiple calls about a TikTok livestream in which he appeared to harm himself. Authorities later said he had been safely transported for medical treatment, while a sheriff’s office incident report stated that first responders treated him for multiple injuries and an overdose. His family later said he was able to communicate while receiving care. Hilton has also spoken publicly about a 21-day hospital stay earlier this year after developing sepsis and a series of related health complications.
He rose to prominence through his celebrity gossip website in the early 2000s before becoming a television personality and reality-show regular. Several recent programme ideas reportedly failed to progress beyond the pilot stage.
