Adults can attend the Royal Melbourne Show for the same $27 ticket price as children on Friday, with the discounted offer available until late this evening.
The show has entered its ninth day at Melbourne Showgrounds, with the final weekend of entertainment ahead despite three days of wet weather in Melbourne.
Many attractions are continuing undercover, including the All Breeds Championships at the Lifewise Dogs Precinct and the Beef Cattle Competition inside the Livestock Pavilion.
Horses in Action will also take place in the Main Arena, while younger visitors can escape the rain at Paw Patrol Playland near the Kids Carnival.
The Country Women’s Association is marking 90 years of service at the showgrounds, with families invited to sample its well-known scones.
Now in its 178th year, the Royal Melbourne Show does not have poultry this year. However, the Sunrise Animal Nursery has proved a popular indoor attraction, giving families the chance to get close to the animals.
Visitors are being encouraged to use public transport. Under-18s can travel free, while adults are eligible for half-price fares, with trains running to the showgrounds from Flinders Street, Southern Cross and North Melbourne stations.
