Manchester United are scouting Galatasaray midfielder Aleksey Batrakov, with Arsenal and Chelsea also reported to have watched the £50 million-rated youngster in Istanbul.
The 21-year-old has attracted growing interest since moving to Turkey, making an impression in both the Super Lig and the Champions League. Representatives from all three Premier League clubs were reportedly present on Tuesday as Galatasaray faced Stuttgart.
Batrakov strengthened his reputation by scoring twice in a 2-0 victory, producing a display that highlighted his attacking ability and growing influence. He has now recorded five goals and three assists in nine starts for the Turkish club.
Premier League clubs monitor Aleksey Batrakov
Manchester United are understood to be assessing options to add creativity to their squad. Batrakov’s ability to play as an attacking midfielder or in wider positions is likely to increase his appeal to potential suitors.
Arsenal and Chelsea are also considering reinforcements in attack, meaning United could face significant competition for the Russian international’s signature.
Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are said to be monitoring his progress as well. Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Paris Saint-Germain are among the European clubs reportedly tracking the midfielder.
Galatasaray could demand £50 million
A move in January is not considered particularly likely, with Galatasaray keen to keep one of their most promising summer arrivals. Batrakov is reportedly tied to a release clause worth about £50 million, which could make a transfer to one of Europe’s major leagues possible in 2027.
Galatasaray are also said to be considering improved financial terms for the midfielder, potentially removing the clause from his contract.
It remains unclear whether Manchester United, Arsenal or Chelsea will make a formal approach in the coming months, but Batrakov’s start to life in Turkish football has placed him firmly on the radar of leading clubs.
