An Indigenous business register has shut following alleged attacks, raising questions over its partnership with the Western Australian procurement system as State Government contracts awarded to Aboriginal suppliers reached $211.7 million in six months.
The closure comes as the value of contracts going to Aboriginal suppliers highlights the register’s role in connecting Indigenous businesses with government procurement opportunities.
