The employees mainly work in freight and the regional QantasLink operation. The union is seeking a single enterprise agreement covering staff at Qantas Ground Services, Australian air Express, Qantas Airlines Ltd and labour-hire groups, replacing the multiple agreements currently in place. Betty White’s trust is seeking court approval to redirect money intended for the Los Angeles Zoo after the charity named in the actress’s trust arrangements became detached from the zoo. The trustee has filed a complaint asking for permission to change the wording of the trust, which was last modified in 2020, so donations can instead be made through other organisations now working with the zoo. White, who was closely involved with the Los Angeles Zoo during her lifetime, stipulated that part of her fortune should be used to provide regular donations to it. The trust directed the payments through…

A black bear has been euthanised at Grand Teton National Park after repeated approaches towards visitors created what officials described as an unacceptable safety risk. Park staff said the decision followed several days of concerning behaviour around Delta Lake, a remote area of the Wyoming wilderness park, where the bear was repeatedly seen approaching people. When wildlife staff began monitoring it more closely, they found the bear was unusually difficult to haze away. Managers said the behaviour, combined with repeated food rewards and increasing proximity to visitors, was consistent with food conditioning. “We need to be clear—this bear was lethally…
