Bayern Munich have identified Michael Olise as the next key player they want to secure after agreeing a new contract with Harry Kane.
Chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen confirmed the club’s intention during the press conference announcing Kane’s new deal, with Olise’s current agreement running until 2029.
“We have always said that we don’t just have Harry as a fantastic player in our ranks, but also players like Michael Olise, among others. His contract runs until 2029, and we will discuss that in due course,” Dreesen said.
Olise and Kane have become central figures in Bayern’s attack, and the Bundesliga club are keen to keep the pair together as they continue to build around their leading forwards.
Michael Olise attracting interest from leading European clubs
The France international’s performances have also fuelled speculation over interest from elsewhere. Fichajes recently linked Olise with Liverpool, Arsenal and Real Madrid.
Liverpool could view the 24-year-old as a potential long-term successor to Mohamed Salah on the right side of their attack, while Arsenal may regard him as an alternative to Bukayo Saka.
Real Madrid have also been mentioned as a possible destination, with Olise potentially joining a squad featuring Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham should he eventually leave Bayern.
For now, however, Bayern’s priority is clear: after tying Kane down, they want to open discussions over a new commitment from Olise and prevent another of their leading attacking players from becoming the subject of a future transfer battle.
