Céline Dion was given a discreet helping hand by a member of her team as she greeted fans in Paris while wearing a pair of towering heels.
The 58-year-old Canadian singer appeared at the door of her car in the French capital, smiling and raising a gloved hand to admirers. However, a member of her security team could be seen crouching behind her with a hand against her back to help keep her steady.
Dion was dressed in a charcoal wool midi dress by Bottega Veneta, priced at £2,590, with dramatic draping gathered at the waist by a brown leather belt. She completed the look with oversized sunglasses, long brown leather gloves, heeled knee-high boots and a black handbag.
The appearance comes as the star prepares to return to the stage for Celine Dion Paris 2026, a five-week engagement at Paris La Défense Arena beginning on September 12. The residency was announced on March 30, with the official concert series set to feature songs from her English and French-language catalogue. It will be Dion’s first series of full concerts since she was forced to cancel the remaining dates of her Courage world tour in 2023 after revealing that she had been diagnosed with stiff person syndrome.
The rare neurological condition causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms. Dion’s battle with the illness was documented in the 2024 film I Am: Celine Dion, which included a distressing scene showing the singer suffering a prolonged muscle spasm.
She has previously described an intensive programme of Pilates, ballet, physical and vocal therapy and immunotherapy as she worked towards returning to live performance.
Dion last performed publicly at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where she sang from the Eiffel Tower during the opening ceremony. Speaking previously about reconnecting with her audience, Dion said: “It’s been so long, I would like to offer them something to show how I’ve missed them.”
