Eric Bauza’s final photos show the “Looney Tunes” voice actor smiling with fans and fellow artists at LightBox Expo in Pasadena, California, the day before his sudden death.
The Emmy-winning performer attended the animation industry event on Saturday, posing for photographs with attendees. His death the following day came as a shock to at least one fan, who wrote: “Eric Bauza just passed away, oh my god. That’s horrible. I literally just saw him yesterday.”
Bauza also shared a photograph from the convention on Instagram, posing alongside artist David Silverman, known as Silverootie. He captioned the post: “Hangin’ w/ @silverootie at @lightboxexpo.”
The update was among his final social media posts and showed him enjoying the event shortly before his death.
Bauza died at his home on Sunday aged 46. His death was attributed to hypertensive cardiovascular disease, a heart condition linked to high blood pressure, and was ruled natural.
His family announced his passing in an Instagram statement, remembering the Canadian-born performer as the modern voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and dozens of other cartoon characters.
Bauza had more than 400 acting credits and won three Children’s & Family Emmy Awards for his voice work.
