Ford is due to report its third-quarter earnings after the markets close on Wednesday, with analysts expecting lower revenue and adjusted profits than a year earlier.
Average estimates compiled by LSEG put adjusted earnings per share at 40 cents and automotive revenue at $46.24 billion. That would compare with automotive revenue of $47.19 billion and adjusted earnings per share of 45 cents in the third quarter of 2025.
Investors are expected to focus on Ford’s F-Series pickup trucks, including the F-150, after production was affected by supplier problems during the past year.
Ford was recovering from earlier supply issues when a separate supplier problem disrupted F-150 manufacturing towards the end of September. Production fell from more than 57,500 vehicles in August to fewer than 43,000 in September.
The company said the latest disruption was “containable within” its existing 2026 adjusted earnings guidance. Analysts are divided over how the production interruption will affect the third-quarter results.
They will also be watching for any changes to, or unexpected developments in, Ford’s warranty costs. The company’s 2026 outlook calls for adjusted earnings before interest and taxes of between $10 billion and $11 billion.
Ford has also forecast adjusted free cash flow of between $6 billion and $7 billion for the year. Wall Street analysts generally expect the carmaker to maintain that guidance.
