A 56-year-old Chicago man has been charged with grooming and soliciting a 15-year-old boy after allegedly presenting himself as a basketball coach, police said.
Andre Jackson was arrested on Monday in the 700 block of East 111th Street in the Pullman neighbourhood, on the city’s South Side.
Investigators allege that Jackson was involved in acts of indecent solicitation and grooming over several months earlier this year. He faces one felony count of indecent solicitation/aggravated criminal sexual abuse and one felony count of grooming.
Jackson was due to appear in court on Wednesday for a detention hearing. Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
