Heidi Klum unveiled a severed-hand Halloween costume at her annual party in New York City, complete with replicated veins, jewellery and her distinctive hand tattoo.
The model’s face appeared inside a gaping wound at the wrist, while long red nails and bloody detailing completed the gruesome look. Her legs were concealed within the costume’s middle and ring fingers, with one arm fitted into the thumb.
Klum revealed that the outfit had been carefully personalised, including a replica of the thumb ring she has worn for around two decades.
“I’ve been wearing this thumb ring, I want to say for about 20 years,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I never really take it off, I always have it on, it kind of grew on my thumb.”
She said the costume also reproduced her engagement ring and wedding band, adding that her husband, Tom Kaulitz, was unable to attend because he was on tour.
“So you know, he’s always with me,” Klum said.
The veins on the hand were also modelled on her own. “Those are all my actual veins,” she said, while explaining that she had chosen red, long nails because she liked a “vampy” style.
Klum arrived accompanied by five people wearing yellow hazmat suits. Her children Lou, Johan and Leni also joined her on the red carpet.
At one point, a member of the entourage used a syringe to squirt liquid into the model’s open mouth, allowing her to drink without disrupting the costume.
Klum later removed the outer layer to reveal a second disturbing look, featuring face prosthetics, a blonde wig and the oversized finger-like leg pieces.
Sharing images of the transformation on Instagram, she wrote: “TALK TO THE HAND ✋ #HeidiHalloween 2026 HERE WE GO.”
The German supermodel has become known for elaborate Halloween transformations. Previous costumes have included Medusa, E.T., a peacock, an alien and Princess Fiona from Shrek.
Her 2022 appearance as a worm saw her moving along the floor, while last year she attended the party dressed as Medusa from Clash of the Titans.
