Jen Affleck has shared videos from her marriage to Zac Affleck in which he appears to criticise her appearance and challenge her over household chores, shortly after she filed for divorce.
The reality television star, who is expecting the couple’s fourth child, posted the clips on TikTok after Zac described himself as her “biggest supporter” and said their priority was co-parenting.
In one video, Jen appears make-up free in a dressing gown and headband while recording a daily routine. Zac can be heard telling her not to post it, commenting on her body.
“I hope you’re not making a TikTok looking like that. Your t*ts are sagging all over. You don’t want to post that baby I’ll tell you that right now,” he says.
Jen asks: “Am I embarrassing myself?”
Zac replies: “A little bit, I would hope you wouldn’t want to post that.”
Jen then says: “Yeah, you’re right I’m just trying to be real with you guys.” She captioned the video: “He was never my biggest supporter.”
The footage prompted criticism from viewers, including one person who wrote: “If my husband told me my boobs were ‘saggy’ 2 weeks after giving birth I’d never forgive him”.
Zac responded that the video had been recorded in 2022, writing: “Obviously horrible and should never have been said. When I saw the video today I was absolutely shocked I had said that. I said a lot of horrible and hurtful things but I have tried my best to learn and grow.”
After another viewer described his treatment of his postpartum wife as “INSANE”, Zac replied: “It was from 2022. And I think that world already knows I made a lot of mistakes and said a lot of absolutely horrible things.”
Jen Affleck divorce follows years of relationship tensions
In a second video, Jen is seen applying skincare in a bathroom when Zac confronts her about leaving a towel on the floor.
“Can you not throw the towel on the ground?” he asks.
When Jen replies that the towel is dirty, Zac asks: “What are we supposed to shower with?” He later asks whether there are any other towels.
Jen responds: “I’ve been doing all your laundry forever… if I got a little bit more help that would be nice, maybe we’d have some towels…”
The videos were posted hours after Zac released a video statement addressing the end of the marriage. He said Jen had filed for divorce and that they had been discussing the possibility for a long time.
Zac said Jen had told him about a year earlier, after appearing on Dancing With The Stars, that she was unhappy and wanted a divorce. He said he had asked her to stay and promised to work on the relationship, but they had been unable to make it work.
“It sucks because I really love Jen,” he said. “I will continue to support her and be her biggest fan.”
He added that the couple’s children were his priority and said they wanted to work out “what a healthy co-parenting can look like”. Zac also asked people not to speak badly about Jen, saying he had made “plenty of mistakes” in the marriage.
Jen, 27, filed divorce papers in Provo, Utah, after seven years of marriage. The couple met through Mutual, a dating app for Mormon singles, in 2018 and married in June 2019.
They are parents to Nora, five, Lucas, three, and Penelope, one. The details of any proposed custody arrangements were not set out in the filing.
Jen and Zac both shared posts marking Nora’s fifth birthday after news of the separation emerged. Zac described his daughter as having the “biggest heart”, while Jen wrote that she could not believe her “little girl is five already”.
Relationship difficulties had previously featured on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which debuted on Hulu in 2024. Jen had spoken about Zac’s gambling, while he had been upset that she attended a Chippendales performance in Las Vegas with castmates.
Jen later said the couple had undertaken therapy and that changes would need to be made if they were to remain together. She has since relocated from Utah to Southern California and is due to appear in the Hulu spin-off The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County.
