Australian tourism operator Sealink has been sold to US firm Journey Beyond in a deal valued at A$1.458 billion, transferring ownership of a portfolio that includes island resorts and sightseeing tours.
The businesses include tourism experiences on K’gari, the heritage-listed island destination, as well as other attractions described as among Australia’s best-known.
The transaction brings the resorts and maritime tourism operations under the ownership of Journey Beyond, a US company.
