Dorit Kemsley’s estranged husband, PK Kemsley, has alleged that she stopped informing him about important decisions concerning their children, including their son’s schooling.
PK made the claims in a declaration filed during the couple’s divorce, shortly before they reached a confidential settlement over their finances. Their arrangements for custody remain unresolved.
He said Dorit had not involved him in choosing their son’s school, describing her alleged “complete and intentional lack of communication and collaboration” on significant decisions as “shocking and disheartening”.
PK also claimed that he received no information from Dorit about school events unless their son told him himself. He said he learned from the children, rather than from Dorit, that their son would attend his current school.
In the declaration, PK criticised what he described as Dorit’s approach to parenting, saying it could “best be described as parenting from afar”. He alleged that she was “not a present parent” and had, over the years, delegated day-to-day responsibilities to their nanny and housekeeper.
PK further claimed that nannies collected the children from school, prepared their meals and handled other important tasks. Dorit denies those allegations.
The former couple have reached a partial agreement on their finances, but are continuing to work towards a custody arrangement for their children.
