Filming on Sam Mendes’s Beatles biopics continued in St John’s Wood on Tuesday, with the four actors portraying the Fab Four seen making rude hand gestures during a break from production.
Barry Keoghan, dressed as drummer Ringo Starr, was among those photographed on set, while Paul Mescal kept a lower profile in his costume as Sir Paul McCartney.
Harris Dickinson is playing John Lennon and Joseph Quinn is portraying George Harrison in the ambitious project, which is being made as four separate films about the band.
The production has already been seen at locations associated with The Beatles, including Abbey Road Studios, where the cast recreated the group’s famous album-cover crossing earlier this summer.
The films are being directed by Mendes and are due to be released in cinemas simultaneously on 7 April 2028. The project has secured the backing of Apple Corps and the surviving Beatles, as well as the estates of Lennon and Harrison.
Keoghan’s appearance as Starr follows comments from the drummer indicating that he had met the actor and offered input on the script and his portrayal.
