Liverpool are monitoring PSV Eindhoven midfielder Paul Wanner as they assess options to add greater creativity and mobility to their midfield, according to a report from Sportowy.net.
The 20-year-old is understood to have attracted attention from several of Europe’s leading clubs, with Real Madrid and Manchester City also linked with an interest in the attacking midfielder.

There is no indication that a formal offer has been made for Wanner. The clubs involved are instead believed to be gathering reports on his performances and tracking his progress before deciding whether to pursue a deal.
Wanner joined PSV from Bayern Munich in August 2025 and signed a contract running until 2030. The Eindhoven club’s official profile lists him as a midfielder who can also operate on the wing, although he is most comfortable in an advanced role.
His versatility is understood to be one of the factors behind Liverpool’s interest. Wanner can play as a traditional number 10 or in a more central midfield position, while his passing range, vision and technical ability allow him to contribute in the final third.
PSV are not expected to part with the player cheaply. The Dutch club are said to value Wanner at around €50 million, a substantial figure for a player who remains relatively inexperienced at the highest level.
That valuation could lead potential suitors to seek more favourable terms, particularly given Wanner’s limited senior experience. However, PSV’s long-term contract with the midfielder gives them a strong negotiating position if interest develops into formal proposals.
Bayern Munich are also continuing to monitor the situation involving their former player. Wanner became the youngest player to make an official first-team appearance for the German club when he debuted at the age of 16, before gaining further experience during loan spells with Elversberg and Heidenheim.
For now, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester City appear to be at the observation stage. The coming months will determine whether any of the clubs are prepared to meet PSV’s asking price for a player regarded as a potential long-term addition to their midfield.
