Several suspects are being sought after a man was attacked with a baseball bat and robbed of $30,000 in cash in North Philadelphia.
The victim was returning home from an event when he was approached by a group of unknown attackers on the 5000 block of North 6th Street at about 2.17am on Sunday, police said.
Officers who arrived at the scene found the man with head injuries. Investigators said the assailants assaulted him before taking a bag containing the cash and fleeing.
The victim’s condition has not been released and police have not provided further details about the suspects or how they escaped.
No arrests have been announced. The investigation remains ongoing.
